Background

The Pinnacle 5K Event was established in 2006 for 6th -12th Grade Students as well as members of the Greater Denver Community. The goal is to promote health and fitness amongst the Pinnacle students, staff, and families. The event quickly grew into an exciting day for all students, especially for the seniors because it is held on their last day of high school. Following the 5K, students have the opportunity to sign yearbooks and socialize. Next, students can participate in sports tournaments or carnival events.

We are excited about the 2010 5K Event. Mark your calendars for May 14th, the day of the 5K Event. Please stay posted to this web site as we get closer to the date. We don’t want anyone to miss out on this special event.

The Day

The 5K Event is filled with tons of fun activities after the 5 K Run. Start time is 8:50 a.m.  There will be carnival attractions and more! Students can also enter teams in various sports tournaments. All of the attractions are included in the registration fee.

Dress-code will still be enforced after the race.  Pinnacle Students must wear either a polo style shirt or Pinnacle shirt after the race.  Also, shorts must be a maximum of 4” inches above the knees.  Students in inappropriate attire will be sent to the dean’s office. 

 Pinnacle Students may listen to their headphone during the race.  When the race is over, they must put their headphone away. 

Location

The event will be held at The Pinnacle Charter School. The run will start at The Pinnacle, 1001 W. 84th Avenue, Federal Heights, CO.
